3 reasons I chose to auction my art ‘Joker Brain’ - linesbyfran.com

1. Exclusive art investment opportunity
Nobody likes mass produced things things anymore. Am I right?
What is more special than an original or 1 off art print? Selling a ‘1 off’ was one of my motivations for running my first art auction. I wanted to offer my customers something exclusive that wouldn’t be available to purchase ever again. This also means that it is an investment opportunity for art collectors as well. ‘Joker Brain’ has huge potential for accumulating value as I develop my art and grow Lines By Fran Ltd over the next decade.
2. Historical success of art auctions
I’ve seen other artists run successful print auctions on Instagram. I asked my audience on Instagram stories if they’d like me to run an auction on Instagram or linesbyfran.com and the poll was in favour of running it on my website. If the website auction isn’t a success I may run one on Instagram in future as my competitions have has lot’s of engagement. However, I get the added bonus of driving traffic to my site from the website auction and reduce the risk of time wasters as you need to me logged in to big. The auction is set up with a reserve price and the winner will receive a email with secure payment instructions. As well as being able to buy the item outright before the auction ends.
3. It’s a great deal on art
You're getting a great deal if you win the auction for less than the buy out price. I like to offer my audience discounts and I’m currently running a 10% discount code on Instagram as well. Just screenshot the item you’d like to buy, tag @linesbyfran, post to your story and I’ll reply will the code. The art auction gives customer the opportunity to win ‘Joker Brain’ for a much bigger discount. I won’t publish the reserve price but trust me there’s potential for a great deal here.
If you’d like to bid on ‘Joker Brain’ all you need to do is log in (create one or use the one you have already). This helps keep the bidding legitimate and I hope it’s not too much to ask. It’s also necessary for collecting your email so that I can let you know if you’ve won the auction. Then, place a bid, the bidding starts at £50 and goes up in £1 increments of your choice. The reserve price must be met for the piece to be sold. Good luck! BID HERE
Alternatively you can buy ‘Joker Brain’ before the auctions ends if you really like it!
Big love, Fran.
